RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

Melanie’s business background and exposure to leadership and management across multiple industry sectors, has given her a passion for executive coaching and a keen understanding of leadership development. As an Executive Coach with Stephenson Mansell Group, she utilises her experience and commitment to helping executives realise their career goals, broaden individual leadership capabilities and become high performance leaders in their field.

She is particularly keen to motivate her clients to achieve a balance between personal and career objectives.

Melanie enjoyed a successful 20 year plus career in the banking and finance industries. During her banking career, she was an Associate Director in Project & Structured Finance and Institutional Banking with ANZ, and acted as a Corporate Finance Coach within the Business Bank, coaching lending managers to build strategic partnerships with clients.

She started her banking career with Standard Chartered Australia Ltd and continued as a Manager in Relationship Banking with State Bank of NSW. Her banking expertise spanned key industry sectors including, resources, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, technology, telecommunications, as well as all areas of financing techniques.

Within the finance sector, Melanie has worked as a management consultant with developing companies, insurance groups and government trading enterprises across several business areas, and developed financing strategies for major NSW government assets when she worked for NSW Treasury Corporation in the early 1990’s.

In recent years, Melanie has facilitated leadership transformation programs for major property and manufacturing companies, where she coached senior executives, designed and co-facilitated a series of team workshops, and attended executive meetings to coach and extend team skills.

Melanie has achieved results with a diverse range of organisations and senior leadership teams in Australia, including the major banks, law firms and top 100 ASX companies (e.g. Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Campbell Arnotts, NRMA, Office of State Revenue, Westpac, NAB, Optus, Westfield, Bilfinger Berger, Middletons, Transfield, Energy Australia - Ausgrid, EFIC, Freehills, Lend Lease and Commonwealth Bank).
