Chief Information Officer, The Benevolent Society
As CIO for The Benevolent Society June was responsible for the delivery of technology services, including a 5-year implementation roadmap. To enable implementation of the strategy, June restructured the technology team, providing the leadership and mentoring necessary for their success.
Chief Information Officer, Strategy Principal & Program Director - MLC & National Australia Bank
From 2006-2009 June was CIO and a member of the senior executive team at MLC. In this role, she lead a team of 500 staff responsible for ensuring a stable operating environment, while delivering over $200m of investment projects. At MLC, she increased staff engagement, reduced costs and improved customer satisfaction.
As the Strategy Principal for Technology, June worked with a team of senior managers to develop a 3-year technology strategy for the bank. In this role, she developed strong business/IT partnerships and introduced a successful IT-business engagement model.
As Program Director, June was responsible for implementing a 3-year, $200m strategic program, requiring a focus on leadership and change management. June also worked on the integration program that brought the Nab and MLC Wealth Management businesses together.
Head of IT, Suncorp Metway
As Head of IT Development & Planning and Business Systems Manager, June was responsible for leading a large IT team delivering complex technology services. She was instrumental in implementing a new banking system and incorporating the Metway business onto this platform. She also introduced a competency-based IT structure as a framework for integrating the Suncorp and Metway IT teams.
IT Director, Sovereign Debt Management, Commonwealth Secretariat
The Commonwealth Secretariat Debt Management Program was established to help emerging Commonwealth economies manage their sovereign debt. As the program’s IT Director, June was responsible for the development of technology software, tools and support processes in over 20 countries. She subsequently worked with the Crown Agents to implement the program in non-Commonwealth countries.
